On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 1:00 pm, we will host Golden Afternoons in the lobby of the Deane Center. Every second Tuesday of the month, the Deane Center hosts this hour of activity for senior citizens in our community, free of charge. This month we present Yolie Canales with a free flower pot for each participant. We have done this before. Yolie will bring in petunia plugs from Leister’s Greenhouses and 4 1/2″ pots filled with peat growing medium for participants to plant in. One flower pot per person to take home and watch grow provided you listen to Yolie and learn how to care for it. Leister’s Greenhouses has donated this selection of petunias which they are growing this year. They will be available for sale by May. Join us as we welcome Spring with a free flower pot. Free light refreshments will be provided.
