Cheryl Hein Walters to Present Free Golden Afternoons Program “Harp Holiday”

FREEAt 1 p.m. this coming Tuesday, Dec. 10, Cheryl Hein Walters of Mansfield will present “Harp Holiday” for the Golden Afternoons program in the lobby at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro.
This free one-hour program is open to anyone 55 years of age or older.
Walters will play the harp and sing holiday favorites. Those attending are invited to sing along and pat, clap or stomp with gusto.
Cookies, punch and holiday treats will be provided free.
Walters taught elementary music in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas for 11 years before moving to Mansfield in 2007.
For the past 16 years, she has been teaching harp, voice and piano at private studios in Wellsboro and in Mansfield and also has harp students at Commonwealth University, Mansfield.
Walters plays harp for dinner parties, weddings, funerals and special occasions and many Sundays at St. James Episcopal Church in Mansfield. She also directs Hamilton-Gibson’s Choir, Too and is a substitute teacher.
